U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg (1933-2020)

19th Sep 2020

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg can never be replaced. Nor should her advancements for women, minorities and other underserved communities through her legal rulings.

Justice Ginsburg, who died Friday at age 87, shall be remembered as a jurist with a kind heart perfectly matched by a keen mind.

RGB was a champion for the American underdog, understanding that the protection and advancement of humanity and freeedom must always be core to the comprehension and interpretration of constitutional law.

No, Justice Ginsburg cannot be replaced. But the individual who takes up her vacancy on the U.S. Supreme Court must be of her caliber. Her successor must follow in her footsteps and the belief that human rights are not a privilege reserved for a few but bestowed upon all.

CPLC Action Fund joins our nation in mourning her loss, even as we simultaneously celebrate her life, accomplishments and rulings that must enlighten and empower many lifetimes to come.
