Panel discussion: Build Back Better Agenda impact on Latino community

3rd Nov 2021

There is an understandable fatigue surrounding the Build Back Better agenda, which we’ve been discussing and hearing about for months upon months. But the fatigue of poverty and the ever-squeezing of the working poor with little to no opportunity should be far greater.

We must not fall into the trap of complacency. Americans and Arizonans already have waited too long for advancement in childcare, education, family leave, jobs and health care. Now is the time for action – one final push to get this compromise budget proposal passed.

On Thursday, Nov. 4, CPLC Action Fund and UnidosUS Action Fund will co-host a 1 p.m. (Arizona time) panel discussion about the Build Back Better Agenda – what’s in it, what’s not, what should be added, and what role YOU can play in helping get this historic legislation passed. You can access the Facebook event here. Particular emphasis will be on impact to the Latino community.

Panelists:

  • Petra Falcon, Executive Director, Promise Arizona
  • Stephanie Parra, Executive Director, All In Education
  • Joseph Garcia, Executive Director, Chicanos Por La Causa Action Fund
  • Carolina Rodriguez-Greer, Arizona State Director, Mi Familia Vota

Moderator:

  • Liz Salazar, Arizona State Director, UnidosUS Action Fund
